I was born in 1996, so one thing clear, I'm still a millennial.

In season 5, episode 11 of FRIENDS, Joey asks Phoebe to teach him how to play guitar. She explains that she doesn't know the "real" names of the chords, but instead, she remembers them by how her hand looks when she does them. That's how she comes up with the brilliant names of "Bear Claw", "Turkey leg" or "Old lady". When I saw it years back I felt so understood.

I studied Audiovisual Communication (at the University of Barcelona), but in the second year I started a Psychology degree at the Open University of Catalonia. This one I couldn't have learnt it by myself, could I?

Until then, my interest in cinema was technical and "superficial". When I was 16 I watched Fight Club, and I learnt something, I learnt about schizophrenia. And also, I learnt that movies can lie to me for more than one hour, and still enjoy them. Cinema became for me a new tool of education, of bringing up subjects that can help me understand the world better and create community. That's why I started studying psychology, so I could create and understand the many layers of the characters in the movies (and in real life), and at the same time, I could work with kids, which I something I enjoy always.

ABOUT ME

I started editing when I was 15, with no "former education" and I was learning my way around Movie Maker, and later on Final Cut and Premiere Pro, by how the icons looked and where they were located (visual communication right?). I was interested in it, and I opened up the programs and started trying them, until things started to make sense.

This has been my way of learning and going through this industry, learning by myself what interested me. It has worked very well for me with Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and a bit of Maya.

This is how I identify myself with Howard Gardner's 7 intelligences

Interpersonal intelligence

Intrapersonal intelligence

Visual-spatial intelligence

Linguistic-verbal intelligence

Body-kinesthetic intelligence

Logical-matematical intelligence

Naturalist intelligence

Musical intelligence

Thanks to my studies in Psychology I have more tools to understand the world around me and to be prepared for being an active character in it. It is clear to me that I want to make and create content, but not any content. I want to create committed and valuable content. I want to be part of projects that can add to society. I want to learn from the women in the industry. I want to not forget about the planet when I work. I want to promote change towards the way we act with the unknown. I want to be part of good projects, on and behind the cameras.

My experience in film shoots, as an Executive Producer and 1st AD, has showed me the magic of working on set, the miracles that a good team can make in, usually, little time. What I love is being part of a crew, and doing my best for the project because I, and everybody, believe in it.

I would love if I could balance an AD role, to do magic on set, and a post-producing role, to never stop learning, and keep my inner child happy.
