Una Vuelta (One Spin)
First time trying animation frame by frame in Photoshop with the final touch in After Effects.
"Donar una volta", is catalan for asking someone to go for a walk, a "turn" around the block. Maybe to a morning coffee, or to digest a substantial meal, to walk together to the next bus stop, or to enjoy going nowhere with someone. Volta also means a "turn", or a "spin".
These two fellas can't go too far, but they sure can go for a spin together.

This is one of the two shorts I directed and edited for the Spanish National Library in the frame of an exhibition dedicated to Concepción Arenal. A philosopher and penal activist of the XIXth Century that talked about human kindness, and looked out of the rights and quality of life of prisoners.

I worked with the Hospital Clinic de Barcelona in cooperation with an European project, and afterwards with the European Liver Patient Association, to create a series of capsules to promote a healthy lifestyle and awareness of liver diseases. It was my first time creating simple animations and motion graphics so that it was easier to explain the unseeable.
